Plans start in pencil.

Hold the venue. Then put it in ink.

Hold Venue is the calendar for small teams who run a hall, a studio or a pitch. Hold a date in pencil the moment someone asks, see who can make it, and put it in ink once everything's settled. Customers only ever see your open days.

No credit card. Open the link we email you, set a password and you're in within a minute.

Pencil or ink?

In the events world, a date you're holding goes down in pencil and a confirmed one in ink. Hold Venue is built around that habit. There's just one rule: anything in colour is confirmed.

Meeting · 14:00

Pencil

Drafts, holds, requests. They drop off on their own when they expire.

Show · 20:00

Ink

Confirmed. Nothing else can be inked into that slot.

Blank page

Available. It's all your customers ever see.

How it works

Every plan goes through three steps.

1Create

Pencil it in

Add the date, time and space. The plan sits on the calendar with a dashed outline: everyone can see it, but nobody's committed yet. Set a hold deadline if you like; if it isn't confirmed by then, it clears itself.

Get everyone on board

Drop the invite link in your group chat or send it by email. People answer “I'm in / Maybe / Can't make it” without signing up. Watch replies come in live, and mark the people you can't do without as “required”.

Put it in ink

Once the right people are in, one tap does it: the plan is confirmed and turns solid on the calendar. Everyone who's coming gets an email with an invite they can add to their own calendar.

Who it's for

Anyone who shares a space or builds a plan together.

Theatres and stages

Rehearsals, show nights and the evenings you rent out the hall, all on one calendar. The crew can look; the director writes.

Rehearsal and recording studios

Hourly sessions and maintenance blocks. Bands pick a free slot from your booking link and leave a request; you approve it.

Pitches and courts

“Every Tuesday at 21:00” regulars and one-off bookings. The lobby screen shows tonight's pitch schedule on a loop.

Dance schools and workshops

Class timetables, exam days and room hire. Teachers schedule their own classes; the manager sees everything.

Meeting rooms and coworking

Each room gets its own column. No double bookings: a taken slot can't take a second meeting, and a free one is suggested.

Teams, clubs and friends

No venue? No problem: trips, matches, volunteer days. Float an idea, get everyone on board, ink it when it happens.

An example

How Kavak Stage locked in a week of rehearsals

  1. Monday

Director Deniz pencils in two rehearsals, Tuesday and Thursday evening. Nobody's committed yet.

  2. Tuesday morning

The invite link goes to the cast's group chat. By noon, 7 of 9 have said “I'm in”.

  3. Tuesday noon

Deniz marks the leads and the lighting tech as “required”. They're all in, so “Put it in ink” unlocks.

  4. Tuesday 14:00

One tap: the rehearsal is confirmed, it's on everyone's calendar, and the lobby screen shows the new week.

Features

Just what small teams actually need.

No double bookings

Two confirmed bookings can never share a space and time, even if two people hit save in the same second. Hold Venue suggests the next free slot.

Customer booking link

Share a link with your customers: they see which days are open or taken and leave a request. Who booked, prices and notes stay private.

Lobby and TV screen

Open a short link on a TV once: today, this week, the month and your announcements rotate as slides and stay up to date.

Team and roles

Members view, schedulers write, assistant admins manage the team, admins run everything. Staff request access with a join link.

A calendar you read by colour

Give every booking a colour: rehearsals blue, shows red, rentals green. One look at the week tells you what's on.

Made for your phone

Opens in day view on your phone, with roomy bookings. Add it to your home screen and it works like an app.

FAQ

Questions you might have

Read the user guide →
Does it cost anything?+

It's free right now. It's built for small teams; all you need to sign up is an email address.

Do the people I invite need an account?+

No. Anyone who opens the invite link can type their name and reply. Only people who join your team and write to the calendar need to sign in.

Where is my data stored?+

Every booking, team and invite is kept in a secure database; no business data lives in your browser. Switch phones and everything's still there.

Can my customers see who's coming when?+

No. The customer link only shows “open” and “taken”. Names, notes and prices are visible to your team only.
